CYO PASTORAL DESIGNEES NEWS AND SPORTS INFORMATION

• CYO Coaches Volleyball Clinics will be held on August 2, 2008 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Wickliffe, and August 9, 2008 at St. Jude, Elyria.  Visit the Falls Sports Webpage to register online or download a registration form.

• The CYO Membership Conference is scheduled for August 2, 2008 at the Cleveland Forum, One Cleveland Center, 1375 E. 9th St, Cleveland.  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.  The program will conclude around 1:30 pm.  Remember all pastoral designees are required to attend.  Mark your calendar now!  More info will be sent to you in the near future!

• CYO Hall of Fame Dinner is scheduled for October 29, 2008!  Visit our website page to view information on nominations, a news release, and dinner information.

• We are looking for sites to host the Coaches Development Program.  Read details.

• FALL SPORTS PAGES HAVE BEEN UPDATED!  The Fall Sports website pages have been posted with updated fees, team entry form, sports pilot confirmation form, coaches meeting dates, officials fees, and rules information.  Note all team entry fees for Fall have been increased $15 per team.  Please communicate this to your coaches and have them visit the website for information.

• FALL TEAM ENTRY MATERIAL ORDER FORM and CYO MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT have been mailed to you May 2, 2008.  Be sure to complete the 2008-09 Membership form and return to CYO Athletic office by July 24, 2008.  If you prefer, you can download the forms from the CYO website Fall sports pages.  All parishes entering teams in Fall must complete the team material order form and fax it to our office 216-334-1270.  If you misplace this form, you can download it from the CYO forms web page.

• COACHES ONLINE REGISTRATION! CYO Coaches can now register for the Coaches Development Class online with their Visa or Master credit card. You can however, as pastoral designee register your coaches if you pay with a credit card.  IMPORTANT NOTE:  If you register coaches, just enter their information and the credit card info. Do not input yourself as designee for these individuals CDP registrations. Check out online registration information page now on the Coaches Development page!

• CYO CERTIFIED COACHES LISTS UPDATED 4/20/08! CYO Certified Coaches Lists are updated through July 2007 on the Coaches Development page.  Review them by last name to verify if your coaches are all CYO certified. 

  CYO CERTIFIED COACHES BEGINNING AUGUST 2007: If you would like to know which of your coaches were certified from the coaches development programs held beginning August 2007, please visit this web page Coaches Development.  This listing has been updated through April 20, 2008.  Remember all CYO coaches are to be CYO certified before they begin coaching your parish teams!  If they need to attend a class, visit our Coaches Development page and view the program dates listings and complete a registration.

• Eligibility Group Form (this form is to be completed by Parish Pastoral Designees only). This form is revised effective July 08.  Please open this file and review the accompanying criteria when this new form can be utilized.
