Mary Jo Dlugoz, Bookkeeper (216) 334-1261 ext. 23
Mary Jo began working for CYO in 1979. She is the bookkeeper for the office. Some of her duties include: preparing deposits, processing bills for payment, budget preparation, accounts receivable, and financial record keeping.
Mary Jo enjoys her work and being of service, in her own way, to many young people and their families. She is married and has two daughters.
Rosalind Dowdell, Administrative Assistant, (216) 334-1261 ext. 11
Rosalind started working for CYO in 1988 in Avon Lake and has been with us for 23 years. She is the Administrative Assistant to the Lorain County Athletic Director.
Her current responsibilities include Coaches Development Program, CYO Membership Databases,
and the Sportsmanship Award Program. Roz has one son, two daughters, and 5 grandchildren.
Christopher Farroni, Athletic Administrator (216) 334-1261 ext. 12
Christopher has been the Athletic Administrator for the Cleveland CYO since 1999. Prior to that he taught at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin School and was the Pastoral Designee at St John Vianney Parish in Mentor. Christopher has a bachelor degree from the University of Dayton and completed his graduate studies in Secondary Education at John Carroll University. Christopher has coached high school and CYO Basketball, Cross Country and Track & Field at St John Vianney, Lake Catholic High School, NDCL and Hawken School as well as presented at state and national conferences. He has coached over 50 qualifiers to State Competition including 20 All-Ohio finishers and 15 State Champions. Christopher has also coached on 2 State Champion Track & Field Teams, 4 State Runner-up Track & Field Teams, and 11 Conference Championships Teams where he has been proud of the dedication of the young athletes in the classroom and on the field.
Mary Ann King

Mary Ann has been employed by CYO Athletics since 1977. She graduated from St Vincent High school where she played volleyball, basketball and ran track. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Kent State University while playing basketball and softball. In 1995, she returned to college to acquire a Master’s degree in Administration from the University of Akron.
She earned All-American honors as a softball player. In 1997, she was inducted
into the Akron Amateur Softball Hall of Fame. During this time, she also coached
girl’s basketball at Hoban High School from 1979-1990. She led the team to the
school first and only OHSAA Division II State Basketball title in 1988. In 1981,
she became the first softball coach in the school’s history and remained the
coach through 1991. She won 5 OHSAA Division II State Softball titles with over
32 of her student-athletes awarded college scholarships. She currently serves on
the Our Lady of the Elms Board of Directors as its Chairperson of the Athletic
Committee. As a member of the United Way of Summit County’s Children & Youth
Investment Committee, she was instrumental in developing initiatives against
bullying.
John Mandula, Athletic Director (216) 334-1261 ext. 15
John was hired as an Athletic Director by the Diocese of Cleveland CYO in April 2012.
He has earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sport Management from Cleveland State University.
His sports background includes campus recreation as a Graduate Assistant of Facilities at Cleveland State University
and as the Manager of Informal Recreation at the University of Akron, community recreation
with the Lakewood Recreation Department as the Supervisor of Officials, and OHSAA sports officiating.
He officiated his first high school football playoff game in 2011. John has been involved with CYO
as a basketball and football official since 2004. He currently officiates at the high school varsity
level in both basketball and football. Of his Athletic Director position,
John states “I’m looking forward to working with the CYO community in sustaining
and improving our athletic programs for years to come”. John is married to his wife Melissa.
Their last name, Mandula, is pronounced man-dew-la.
Dr. Gregory "Dobie" Moser, D. Min Executive Director (216) 334-1261 ext. 32
Dobie has been with the office since 1995. He has worked in ministry in Houston,
TX, Silver Spring, MD and in Columbus. He has an undergraduate Degree in
Education, a Masters in Family Systems Counseling, and a Doctorate in Ministry
with a focus on leadership development. Dobie is a former member of the United
States Olympic Committee and served as the Board Chair for the National
Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry and National CYO Sports. He received the
NFCYM National Excellence in Training Award and has written many articles and
resources for religious education, youth ministry, sports, and family life. He
and his wife Lisa volunteer in their parish and with refugees in their
community. Dobie started the Strongsville Youth Commission and is also a
certified CYO coach.
Jamie Mewhinney, Athletic Director (216) 334-1261 ext. 13
Jamie was hired as an Athletic Director by the Diocese of Cleveland CYO in the winter of 2012.
He has earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from The University of Dayton. At Dayton,
Jamie was also a member of the Flyer Football team where he won two Conference Championships.
His professional background includes serving as an Academic Advisor for the Sinclair Community College
Varsity Baseball team in addition to 5 years’ experience at the Fairview Park Recreation Center.
At the Fairview Park Recreation Center he was a Site Supervisor as well as an Assistant Programs Director.
Jamie’s athletic career began in the fall of 1999 playing CYO football. The values that were instilled
through playing CYO football have led to a successful academic/athletic career at St. Edward High School
and The University of Dayton.
Vic Rosato, Athletic Director (330) 379-3636 ext. 16
Vic was promoted to Athletic Director for the South in 2011. Previously, he was Parish Athletic Director, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish
in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, CYO Soccer and Fast Pitch Softball Coach, CYO Athletic Program Supervisor 2000-2010,
and CYO Commissioner. His athletic backgrounds also includes: Varsity Cross Country Coach for 8 years at
Cuyahoga Falls High School and High School Varsity Track Coach for 14 years at Cuyahoga Falls High School.
He coached the first ever Cuyahoga Falls Girls Soccer team at the school, 1990-1994. Vic was also Faculty Manager
at Cuyahoga Falls High School for 2 years, and Athletic Director at Middleburg Heights Midpark High School for 3 years.
He has been an OHSAA Certified Basketball Official for 16 years. Vic has also officiated soccer, baseball, and softball.
He was inducted into the Cuyahoga Falls Amateur Baseball Association in 2006. Vic attended the Connecticut School
of Broadcasting and received the Distinguished Jaycee Award 1983. His hobbies include watching NCAA Basketball,
playing golf and spending time with the family.
Noelia Speringo, Office Administrator, (216) 334-1261 ext. 14
Noelia Speringo began working for the organization in 1979. She has given over
30 years of dedicated service in various programs. She has an Associate Degree
from Lorain County Community College. She currently works as support staff to the West area athletic program, handles athletic payroll,
and manages the CYO athletic website. She has enjoyed working with the pastoral designees, coaches, teams, and officials in various capacities in CYO athletics over the years as athletic commissioner, officials assigning secretary, and site supervisor. She is married to husband Anthony.
Lynette Taylor, Administrative Assistant, (216) 334-1261 ext. 10
Lynette's duties since May 2000 have included secretarial support to the Youth & Young Adult Ministry Specialists and CYO Athletics East and Central areas, and processing Boy Scout religious emblems and Girls’ Religious materials.
She attended Mt. Vernon Academy for high school and then spent two years at Andrews University in Michigan. She is married with a son and daughter, two step-daughters, a son-in-law and five grandchildren.
