DIOCESAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
In accordance with Bylaw 2, Section 12-2, Diocesan playoffs will be held for the Intermediate (individuals in grades 8, 7, 6 and ages 10-14) and Varsity (individuals in grades 12, 11, 10 and 9 and ages 14-18) levels in each sport. The Diocesan playoff/competition represents a culmination of an athlete’s experience. These play-offs are a showcase of skills and sportsmanship achieved through years of CYO involvement. For the Intermediate level, the Diocesan Championships will include t-shirts and programs. Diocesan playoffs are not guaranteed, and may be held if time and space permits.
Championship information is provided so coaches, parents, athletes, and fans can share in the responsibility and enjoyment of a smooth running tournament. Your cooperation and that of your athletes and fans is appreciated and expected at these events.
All Proceeds from the Diocese of Cleveland CYO Championships are placed in the Bishop Roger Gries CYO Good Shepherd Fund to assist our CYO parishes and staff with training, supplies, and support for the mission of CYO.
Intermediate Girls Volleyball Tournament
The Intermediate Girls Tournament will begin May 11 and conclude with
semi-final and final championship games May 18-19, 2013. Congratulations
to you, your team and your parish on the fine volleyball season. As the
culmination of their CYO experience, the Intermediate CYO Volleyball
teams from across a seven county area of our Diocese
qualify to this tournament. This information is provided to you so that
you, your team and your fans can share in the responsibility and enjoyment of a smooth running
tournament. Your cooperation and that of
your players and fans is appreciated and expected.

As the culmination of their CYO experience, 8 boys’ & 8 girls’ “intermediate” CYO teams from our Diocese of Cleveland qualify for this tournament. Track and Field Championship
We hope that you have enjoyed your season so far. The Intermediate Diocese of Cleveland CYO Championship will consist of District Meets which will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 and the Diocese of Cleveland CYO Finals will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013.
We are excited about the new format and other changes associated with the Area Track & Field Championship this year. Intermediate coaches, please download the Track and Field Championship information which includes important meet information, t-shirt order form, online entry instructions, and relay cards. Deadline to order t-shirts is May 13 2013. Be sure to place your order early!
