CYO Athletics offers the following Winter

Many young people
participate in Winter sports in the Cleveland CYO. The
coaches, commissioners, parish and CYO athletic staff work
very hard to sponsor excellent programs. Please check out

participation in CYO Athletics.
CYO ATHLETIC CALENDAR
Coaches,
parents, and athletes visit our new interactive CYO
Athletic Calendar
for sports team entry and roster deadlines, sport practice and
season starts, coaches meetings, coaches development, diocesan
championships, and other athletic events.
ONLINE TEAM ENTRY PROCESS
INFORMATION
All CYO sport team registrations must be completed online in
sports pilot software by clicking the Online Team Registration
button at the top of the page. We no longer accept
paper team entries.
Online team registrations are to be completed by the parish pastoral
designee or parish assistant who is trained in the
software only. Please plan ahead to make this transition.
ENTRY PACKET INFORMATION
All Grade School Winter sports teams
must be registered online by November 6, 2009. Early
registration discount deadline is November 4, 2009. All out
of parish youth eligibility request forms (ERF) must be
received from members by November 6, 2009 (view
appropriate forms below).
All High School Boys and Girls
Basketball teams must be registered by November 18, 2009.
Early registration discount deadline is November 16, 2009.

IMPORTANT WRESTLING COACHES
ONLY:
Coaches are to submit a
Non-CYO Participation Form of wrestlers involved in non-CYO
teams to the CYO office and Commissioner before the 1st
match of the CYO season. Please download the
Non-CYO Participation form
now.

MUST be completed for
all out of parish athletes playing on your team and
submitted to our office by the team entry deadline.
Failure to submit this form for any athlete will declare
them ineligible to play for your parish team.

ATHLETIC ROSTER
INFORMATION
Pastoral
Designees, we encourage you to create your athlete rosters online in Sports Pilot and eliminate manual paper
rosters and obtaining signatures. You will need to complete the
CYO online approval authorization form with the appropriate parish
signatures. Your athletes are currently in our CYO athletic
history database. All you need to do is search for them by last
name and create a roster. All athlete information is
recorded in the system and can be updated easily.

completed pastoral designees by the stated Eligibility
Roster Deadline (See
Important Dates
Document).
Be sure to select the correct parish, and school for
each athlete. Be sure to review athlete exams for
expiration, and birthdates and athlete grade for accuracy.
