GENERAL
INFORMATION
CYO Athletics offers a grade school
leading program for those girls in grades 4 - 8. (See
Player Eligibility Rules for guidelines). Squads are formed
from Catholic parishes, schools, or educational institutions in the
Central, Eastern, and Western areas of the Diocese of Cleveland.
The CYO
Cheer program is held in the
fall and winter sport seasons. Each season, squads are required to
register with the CYO office. Registration material is available at
your area CYO office. Squads can cheer for their football teams in
the fall and basketball teams in the winter.
Games are played at various fields and gyms
throughout the CYO service area. Sport schedules are prepared by the
office and mailed to the head coaches of the football and basketball
programs. Cheer coaches may obtain a copy of the
corresponding season schedule by contacting the CYO Athletic and
Camping Office.
CYO sponsors two Varsity
Cheer
Championships. The fall season competition is held in November and
the winter competition in March. If you would like more

ENTRY PROCESS

A
team entry form, $195 entry fee, and eligibility request forms must be
received from members by the stated Team Entry Deadline. Cheer
squads must register with the CYO office for both fall and
Winter seasons.
This fee MUST accompany your manual
team entry which is due November 8, 2008. Click this link to download

ONLINE in Sports Pilot, be sure to download
this
team entry confirmation form which MUST accompany your
parish payment check. ONLINE team entry check payments
MUST BE PUT IN THE MAIL BY November 8, 2008 so we can mark your
teams paid in Sports Pilot.

CYO CHEER RULES
The Charter & Bylaws is the
governing document for all CYO sports and member parishes. It
should be referred to for statements of philosophy and issues
regarding eligibility, eligibility requests, adjoining parish rules,
merging parishes to form a team, etc.
