HALL OF FAME AND RECOGNITIONS AWARDS DINNER |

The Cleveland CYO is pleased
to announce the annual CYO Hall of Fame and Recognition Awards
Dinner will be held on October 29, 2008. This year the event is
being held at St. Michael’s Woodside 5025 East Mill Road, Broadview
Heights, Ohio 44147.
We are currently seeking
nominations for individuals to receive the CYO Recognition Award and
special individuals to be elected to the CYO “Hall of Fame”.
Nominations for both awards must be submitted to the CYO Athletic
and Camping Office, 7911 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44102 by
August 8, 2008.

COACHES DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
DON'T GET CAUGHT WITHOUT YOUR CREDENTIALS!!! |

 All
CYO head and assistant grade school and high school coaches are REQUIRED to attend a Coaches
Development class before they begin coaching.
To obtain the
class dates schedule and download the registration form click

Coaches Development Registration. No
manual
registrations will be processed without payment.
We will no longer accept faxes.
Now
you can REGISTER ONLINE with your credit card for a class. Visit
the Coaches Development
page to find out how, it's easy!
ALL CURRENT CYO
CERTIFIED COACHES SHOULD BE WEARING THEIR LANYARD WITH BAR
CODED CARD THEY RECEIVED WHEN THEY COMPLETED THE CERTIFICATION
PROGRAM. If you need a replacement
card for $5 fee, contact
rdowdell@clevelandcatholiccharities.org at the CYO office at (216) 334-1261
ext. 11. Please include your
parish,
full name, address information city, zip and phone number in

ATHLETIC EMAIL COMMUNICATION |
SANCTIONED TOURNAMENT |
The
CYO athletic office is looking to communicate
electronically with Pastoral Designees and CYO
Head Coaches with a web mail format similar to the
mid-season e-news many of you received recently.
We need your help!
If you
have NOT provided CYO with an email address when your
parish pastoral designee registered you for Spring
sports registration, please contact Noelia Melendez,
nmelendez@clevelandcatholiccharities.org. You
can also call her at 216-334-1261 ext. 14. Please
provide your full name, parish, sport and grade you are
coaching, email address, and phone contact number.
If
your email address HAS CHANGED or is NO LONGER VALID,
please let us know. We appreciate your helping us
keep our records up to date!

Parishes that are sponsoring tournaments need to complete and submit to CYO the
sanctioned event form along with a fee of $25.
This form must be
turned in to the CYO office prior to the tournament starting date. Be sure to sign the front and back of the form.
Forms not completed or missing payment will not be processed.

served athletic leaders and young people in CYO for 22
years. He leaves a noteworthy legacy of achievement, good
will, and hope behind.
