GENERAL INFORMATION

CYO Athletics offers a grade school soccer program for boys in grades 4 - 8. (See Player Eligibility R ules for guidelines). Teams are formed from Catholic parishes, schools, or educational institutions in the Central, Eastern, and Western areas of the Diocese of Cleveland.

The CYO Soccer program is held in the spring and fall sport seasons. Each season, teams are required to register with the CYO office. Registration material is available at your area CYO office.

Boys soccer games are played at various fields throughout the CYO service area. League formation is based upon geography and CYO competition rules (See Bylaw 2-8 for details). A soccer schedule is prepared by the CYO office and mailed to the head coaches.

DIVISIONS OF PLAY

Varsity 8^th grade - 7^th grade
Cadet 6^th grade - 5^th grade - 4^th grade

TEAM FORMATION

ENTRY PROCESS

A team entry form, $300 fee, and eligibility request forms must be received from members by the stated Team Entry Deadline March 7, 2008. This fee MUST accompany your manual team entry. Click this link to download Boy's Soccer Entry form.

Designees, if you sign up your parish teams online in Sports Pilot, be sure to download this team entry confirmation form which must accompany your parish payment check . ONLINE team entry check payments MUST BE PUT IN THE MAIL BY March 7, 2008 so we can mark your teams paid in Sports Pilot. Online registration opens February 19, 2008.

Team eligibility rosters with completed pre-participation exam information must be received from members by the stated Eligibility Roster Deadline. Eligibility Request forms MUST be completed for all out of parish athletes playing on your team and submitted to our office with your team entries.

The Charter & Bylaws is the governing document for all CYO sports and member parishes. It should be referred to for statements of philosophy and issues regarding eligibility, special requests, adjoining parish rules, merging parishes to form a team, etc.
