The
Cleveland Catholic Diocese has a long and wonderful history of Catholic
Charities and Catholic health care. Today, we stand on the shoulders of
many wonderful and dedicated individuals who committed their lives and talents
to bringing the healing ministry of Jesus to millions of individuals over
the past 100 years. Founded in Catholic social teachings and professed through
the Word of the Gospels, we bring our mission and values to the marginalized
and vulnerable persons we serve. We will continue our journey to serve children
and families, the disabled, the elderly and chronically ill, and persons
with fundamental and basic needs as portrayed for us by Jesus through Scripture.
With each life we touch, we strive to meet the spiritual, physical and psychological needs of God's people. The ministries we provide at Catholic Charities are blessed with the leadership and commitment of our Bishop Lennon, our skilled and dedicated employees, our caring and giving volunteers, our generous benefactors and those with whom we partner in the public and private sectors.
We face many challenges in terms of resources in order to address an ever-increasing human need but we pledge always to utilize every resource given us with integrity, transparency and good stewardship. We continue this journey of service with one explicit desire - that is, to continue to serve our brothers and sisters with dignity and respect.
I am humbled by the many blessings that have been bestowed upon Catholic Charities by a gracious and loving God. It is with personal gratitude, on behalf of those we serve and in thanksgiving for our Catholic Charities family, that we continue our journey in the healing ministry of Jesus.
