At Catholic Charities Community Services/Summit County (CCCS/SC), we believe that all persons, regardless of their level of ability, have the right to enjoy a broad range of experiences that others in their community enjoy. Through organized activities and outings people with disabilities learn valuable skills, make meaningful friendships, increase their self-esteem and enhance their social lives. Equally important is that while the program participants are out in the community enjoying themselves, family members are able to take the time to refresh themselves and take a much needed break from care giving.

CCCS/SC has been providing programs for persons with disabilities for over 45 years. CCCS/SC employs people from a variety of backgrounds such as education, psychology, speech pathology, social work, recreation and more. To ensure the safety of all participants, all staff members are fingerprinted and must pass a criminal background check.

CCCS/SC offers 3 individualized programs: Recreational Respite, SumFun, and Christopher Discovery Camps, suited to a wide variety of individuals with special needs. For information, call 330.762.2961

Funding for Recreational Respite, SumFun and Adult Day Services is provided by CSBMR/DD, the ODMR/DD Family Resource Services Program, the United Way of Summit County and individual donations.
