Who We Serve
Children and families get the help they need to live productive and happy
lives. Children grow at day care or Head Start, in an adoptive or foster
home, in athletic programs or at summer camp. Families have the opportunity
to grow as well, taking classes to prepare them for high school equivalency
test, learning skills to prepare them for a job and their role in the
family, mental health counseling and chemical dependency treatment.
As our older adult population continues to grow. Catholic Charities is the answer for many who need companionship during the day, a meal, transportation, recreational activities or counseling. A full range of living options are also available through Catholic Charities from Independent living to skilled nursing care. Many who choose to live independently in their home are able to do so because of our home delivered meals and in-home personal care services.
Catholic Charities helps people with disabilities to live life to their fullest potential. Children and adults have the opportunity to grow in a spiritual and learning environment as well as a social one at summer camps and other recreational activities. Life skills training and in-home personal care helps them live independently in the community.
Many people with emergency and transitional needs come to Catholic Charities as their last hope whether they are homeless or the working poor. They need a meal, food for the family pantry, shelter or emergency assistance. They also receive job readiness training, mental health counseling and an opportunity to attend substance abuse support groups to get back on their feet.
