Rose-Mary, The Johanna Grasselli Rehabilitation and Education Center, is located in Euclid, Ohio and provides residential services and programs for children and adults diagnosed with intellectual disabilities
. In addition to the main campus which serves children, Rose-Mary manages seven group homes for adults throughout Cuyahoga County. Services are provided under the guidance of a professional team consisting of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and Qualified Mental Retardation Professionals (QMRP). This includes speech, occupational and physical therapy, training in daily living skills such as personal care and dressing, as well as providing stimulating environments for basic large and fine motor responses, and visual and tactile stimulation.
The Center operates OLA/St. Joseph School in the Tremont area of Cleveland in conjunction with the Educational Services Center of Cuyahoga County, which serves children with intellectual disabilities
. Rose-Mary Center offers day, overnight, before-and after-school respite programs as well as a summer camp program. In addition, St. Anthony’s Adult Day Center, is available for adults with Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia, and other intellectual and physical disabilities.
Rose-Mary Center is the only Catholic, faith-based residential program for persons with intellectual disabilities
in Northeast Ohio. Established in 1922 to provide services to children, the Center expanded its mission to serve children with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities in 1967. In 1988, with the addition of group home management for adults diagnosed with intellectual disablilities, the Center completed its continuum of care from young children to the elderly.
