At Rose-Mary Center, we aim to provide the best care for the children and adults with intellectual disabilities that we serve. We offer a residentially based treatment program with structured individual plans that address activities of daily living, behavior management, mobility and sensory needs, social skills, communication, gross motor, and fine motor training. We provide treatment to forty children and fifty-one adults who are cared for twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year. Rose-Mary Center has established a reputation for serving challenging individuals, who typically require the entire array of therapeutic and behavioral intervention services.

The individuals at Rose-Mary Center are able to learn new things, become more self-reliant and realize their full potential because of the care and assistance they receive in a safe environment.

The most important components that make Rose-Mary Center's program exceptional, love and care, are evident when you step inside any of our buildings.

The following components of Rose-Mary Center's program help those we serve acquire more skills and learn to live more independently.

Individual Habilitation Plans – Each individual served is assessed in order to understand his or her strengths and areas that need improvement. This assessment is reviewed and updated quarterly.

Medical attention – Nursing services are available 24 hours a day to address medical needs, such as seizure disorders.

Interdisciplinary team – A comprehensive team of professionals assesses, writes and implements each individual's habilitation plan. The team can include nurses, a social worker, psychologist, registered dietician, pediatrician, dentist, child psychiatrist, physical and occupational therapists and assistants, a speech pathologist, Qualified Mental Retardation Professionals, a client/family advocate, trained direct care staff, in addition to the resident her/himself and family members.

Recreational opportunities – Recreation activities are planned for all the residents, giving them opportunities to practice and improve community based skills. Residents have available a state of the art multi-sensory room, a beautiful outdoor sensory garden, a safe enclosed play area, and an indoor therapeutic swimming pool to enhance program goals in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.

Family involvement – Family visits are an important part of the resident's treatment plan. Residents may go home any time, or families may visit at the Rose-Mary residences if preferred. In addition, family members are involved in activities that are held at the different residential sites such as picnics or holiday gatherings. Finally, families are an important part of creating the Individual Habilitation Plan for their loved one.
