community leaders, as articulated by the teachings of the Catholic Church

Youth and Young Adult Ministry and

The Office provides
services to parishes in all areas concerning youth and young adults:
Athletics, Camping, Youth Ministry and Young Adult Ministry. Its staff
provides consultation, programming, resources and training for coaches,
counselors, pastoral staffs and volunteers who minister with children,
youth and young adults.

Catholic Charities
supports birth parents and their families whether they decide to parent
or make an adoption plan for their child. From pregnancy through
delivery our counselors are there to help - and for as long as desired
following the birth of the child.

Catholic Charities delivers health and human
services to the most vulnerable in the Diocese of Cleveland. It provides
services to many people throughout the Diocese including children and
families, older adults, people with disabilities and those with emergency
and transitional needs. It works with other groups to build a just and
compassionate society that respects the dignity of every person.

The Office
works to implement
the social teaching of the Church. It protects and promotes human dignity
by empowering the poor, the voiceless and minority groups. This is
accomplished through education, advocacy, organizing, and providing
technical assistance to churches, schools, and other groups working to
address issues of peace and justice.

the Diocese that assist the Bishop with administration. It provides
services to parishes to help individuals in living their Catholic faith.
Ministry to African
American Catholics

The Ministry seeks to carry out advocacy for the
concerns and needs of African American Catholics and the African American
community. The Office witnesses to the reality that the Catholic Church is home to all people and welcomes

Catholic Community

to assisting the Diocese in serving the pastoral needs of the Asian
Catholic Community. It strives for unity in its integration and
participation in the local church.
Gay &
Lesbian Ministry

This ministry was established to provide pastoral care for
homosexuals and their families in fidelity to the teachings of the
Church. The ministry works towards the goal that our community can become
one of care, support, formation, reconciliation and witness to justice
with and among gay and lesbian persons, their families, and all who

The Office offers pastoral services in Spanish and
collaborates with the other diocesan entities to better serve its people.
It seeks to fully integrate the Hispanic Catholic community in the local
Catholic Church at all levels.
Office for Women in Church and Society
The mission of this office is to develop equal partnership of women and
men in Church and society, to raise awareness of women's evolving roles
and issues in the Church, and to educate and advocate for equal rights and
social and economic justice for all women.
Jesuit Retreat House

The Jesuit Retreat House offers an array of day, evening, weekend and
long-term retreats in a variety of formats that can accommodate
individually directed retreats or group needs. It is located on 57 acres
of forest, meadow and walkways, which helps give retreatants a chance to
meet and sense God's presence in a fresh way.
Loyola of the Lakes

Loyola is a Jesuit-run retreat house and its primary purpose is to offer a
warm and welcome environment for prayer, solitude and quiet reflection.
The staff not only leads retreats and days of prayer and reflection for
groups or individuals, but also offers support for healing, direction for
growth and an invitation to ongoing conversion of mind and heart.
