Natural Family Planning Awareness Week
~
Awareness Week July
19-25
2009
"Marriage and Natural Family Planning...a
Divine Design."
This national
educational campaign of the USCCB marks the anniversary of the papal Encyclical,
Humanae Vitae (July 25) and the feast of Saints Joachim and Anne (July
26). This year’s poster theme, “Marriage and Natural Family Planning . . . a
Divine Design” emphasizes our faith belief that married love is ordered to
a lifetime of communion with God and each other. Promote NFP in your parish.
-
NFP does
nothing to destroy the love-giving or life-giving meaning that is present in
marital intimacy; rather, through fertility education, couples learn to
cooperate with God to create a new human being that they will love and care
for together.
-
The United States Bishops’ document, Married Love
and the Gift of Life, is an excellent resource explaining to couples
Church teaching about God’s plan for marriage and natural family planning in
a simple question and answer format. See and order a bulletin insert
