OUR SERVICES
Computer Lab with Internet Access – Use the computer lab to conduct an Internet job search, develop your résumé and cover letter, and sign-up for a free E-mail account. If you have limited computer skills, staff is available to help.
Job Postings/Job Leads – You can view our job boards for recent job leads and work with our Job Developers, who can give you viable job leads.
Job Club – You can also participate in weekly Job Club meetings. Job-seekers meet and network with others, and talk about job leads, interviews, and other issues related to finding a job.
Copier and Fax Machine – This equipment is available so you can make copies of your résumé, cover letter and other related job search paperwork for free.
Resume Development Assistance- Staff will help you develop a resume that gets results. It is important to make a good first impression with employers. Let staff help you avoid common résumé errors such as typing mistakes, misspelled words, and missing information.
Job Development - Qualified staff regularly work with employers to identify job openings and market participants to employers. We work with both the employer and employee to match qualified employees to job openings.
Career Counseling - Staff members help to identify participants’ (your) strengths, give advice on how to change career paths and help market themselves to prospective employers. Our staff also provides information to help you enhance your job search. We offer mini-workshops on interviewing, cold calling techniques, completing an application, reviewing your resume, and other job-search issues.
Interviewing Skills – Does the thought of interviewing make you nervous? Work with staff members to improve your interviewing skills. Staff will give you good interviewing tips and techniques and conduct a mock interview to simulate a real-life interviewing scenario.
Supportive Services –Staff helps you by helping provide services or items you may need to secure a job until you receive your first pay check. Individuals may receive transportation assistance, vouchers for uniforms and clothing, money for driver’s license or state identification, and other similar assistance. Restrictions may apply.
