Catholic Social Teaching
Catholic Social Teaching is a practical workshop that teaches an understanding of the social mission of the Church
through Catholic caring, healing, and teaching ministries. A resource packet presents seven themes of Catholic Social Teaching,
each in a separate brochure. Each brochure teaches a specific principle and promotes a responsive “Call to Action.” Handouts are
included for group activity and discussion.
Social teachings support persons whose daily ministries can turn Gospel values into renewing action. These actions affect families, communities,
and work environments and echo throughout the world to bear upon future generations. Catholic Social Teaching provides a vision for our work’s
meaning and how it benefits us and the community we serve. This half-day workshop can be presented at your site and offers additional train-the-trainer
instruction to use throughout your organization or community.
