Purpose: To gather parish Youth Ministry Leadership Teams comprised of adults and high school aged youth for leadership development, education, and training in a fun, community setting. The 2006 Diocesan Leadership Training Course will be held at CYO Camp Christopher in Bath, Ohio.
Population Served: Students in the 9th thru 12th grade and parish designated adults who work with high school aged youth in parish settings.
Criteria: Youth must be involved in a leadership role at their parish. Parish designated adults must work with youth (i.e., coaches, youth ministers, Director of Religious Education, scout leaders) in their parish or school setting. Chaperones should be screened and are required to have VIRTUS training as part of the Diocesan youth protection policies. All participants must read and agree to the rules for the weekend.
Fees: 2006 fees:
$45/person (5 person minimum adult/youth team)
$35/person – The 7th person from the same team
Neighboring or clustering parishes can be considered a team.
