Purpose: Works in collaboration with others (religious institutions, public and private agencies) to insure that the basic needs (primarily food/shelter) of the most vulnerable in our presence are met providing services at 72 sites throughout the Diocese.
Population Served: The homeless, the near-homeless, others living in poverty, and the working poor.
Criteria: Registration is necessary for Pantry Programs and pantry recipients must reside with the zip code areas established for individual sites; shelters are reimbursed according to the number of “nights of care” they provide.
Fees: There are no fees for these services.
Major Funders: Catholic Charities Annual Appeal; Cuyahoga County: United Way, Harvest for Hunger, FEMA, and Cleveland’s Community Development Block Grant dollars
